The pig is the ultimate circular animal. Like no other, it is able to convert waste flows from the food industry into high-quality meat. For ZonVarken, a fully circular feed composition is therefore an unmistakable part of their concept. Voerwaarts was involved in the feed policy from the start and during the fine-tuning of the ideas for ZonVarken.

For ZonVarken, climate- and environmentally friendly feeding means no competition with human food, no grains, soy (meal) or other ingredients grown for animals and completely based on residual and return flows.
From recipe to production
As a specialist in circular feeding, Voerwaarts is in charge in collaboration with FeedValid. What nutritional value do the Zonvarkens need to stay healthy? And how do we ensure that the taste of the meat is not adversely affected? A fully developed recipe is now available. FeedValid provides the supply of leftover bread, dough, biscuits, chocolate, breakfast cereals, sweets and pasta. VoerWaarts produces and supplies cold or unpressed feed to the ZonVarken farmers.
